Christmas Turkey at The Butcher Shoppe Cannon Hill

Every one of our Christmas turkeys is gluten free, from Queensland's first Coeliac Australia accredited butcher, so nobody gets a separate plate on Christmas Day.

A free range whole turkey for Christmas

The Lilydale free range turkey is the one when the whole family's coming. They run from roughly 4kg to about 10kg, so count heads and add a bit for Boxing Day sandwiches.

Boneless turkey breast, easy to carve

For a smaller table, take a boneless breast. The Lilydale free range breast comes in two sizes, and we can prepare it with one of our dry stuffings, Cranberry, Apple and Pistachio or Citrus Peel, Fig, Apricot and Macadamia. The Zammit breast is smoked, and our oven baked breast is cooked in-house and ready to slice.

The one thing to keep off a coeliac guest's plate is The Secret Ingredient turkey gravy, which contains gluten. Most tables have a Christmas ham beside the turkey.

When should I place my Christmas order?

We recommend placing your order as early as possible. Orders open in Monday 26th October 2026, and popular items like hams and turkeys often sell out before Mid December. Early ordering also helps secure your preferred pick-up or delivery day.

When can I pick up my Christmas order?

Pick-up is available from our Cannon Hill butcher shop in the lead-up to Christmas. We offer extended trading hours from mid-December, with the final collection window available on Christmas Eve before lunchtime.

Do you deliver Christmas orders?

Yes, we deliver chilled orders across Brisbane and the Gold Coast as normal, from 14 December to 24 December we will be running deliveries Monday to Sunday everyday. Delivery slots are limited and finish by lunchtime on Christmas Eve. You can select your preferred delivery date at checkout. We get very busy and slots fill up so get in quick.

Can I choose a specific delivery time?

While we can’t guarantee exact delivery times, our drivers follow set routes each day. If you have special access instructions for gates or lifts, please include them in your order notes so we can deliver smoothly.

Are your Christmas meats gluten-free?

Yes, all our house-prepared Christmas meats are gluten-free. The Butcher Shoppe is Brisbane’s only Coeliac Australia-accredited butcher, and every product is handled with care to meet strict gluten-free standards.

Do you offer glazed hams?

Yes. Our hams are available prepped and ready to glaze or supplied fully glazed. We also stock our house made glazes, together with Beerenberg glazes and condiments to finish your ham perfectly at home.

Can I order for a specific weight or portion size?

Absolutely. Our butchers can portion, tie, or season your meats to suit your gathering. Simply note your preferences when ordering online or speak with our team in-store.

What happens if I need to change or cancel my order?

Please contact us as soon as possible. Changes can usually be made up to one week before your scheduled pick-up or delivery. After that, preparation may have already begun.

How do I keep my meat fresh until Christmas Day?

We recommend storing your order in the coldest part of your fridge. For larger orders, an esky with plenty of ice packs works well. Our team can provide specific storage and reheating tips when you collect your order. Remember to get one of our ham bags at checkout.
