12 Days Till Christmas Competition Terms and Conditions

The 12 Days Till Christmas competition is run by The Butcher Shoppe, Shop 31, 1145 Wynnum Road, Cannon Hill QLD 4170. By entering this competition you agree to the terms and conditions listed below.

1. Eligibility

  • Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over.
  • Employees of The Butcher Shoppe and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
  • Open to Brisbane Area Residents only as the Prize is pickup instore only.

2. Competition Period

  • The competition runs daily from 13 December to 24 December.
  • Each daily entry period opens at 7am AEDT and closes at 10pm AEDT. (Brisbane Daylight Savings Time)
  • Final Giveaway on the 23rd for Pickup on the 24th December.

3. How to Enter

  • Entrants must be subscribed to The Butcher Shoppe mailing list through the form on this page or through the website popup.
  • We recommend adding your Instagram handle when signing up, as this helps us confirm your entry and is the safest way to protect you from people impersonating accounts on Instagram.
  • Entrants must follow The Butcher Shoppe Instagram page.
  • Entrants must like the daily Instagram post.
  • Entrants must comment their guess on the daily Instagram post in grams in the correct format.
  • Only one entry per person per day will be accepted.
  • Entries received after 10pm AEDT each day will not be counted.

4. Prize

  • One winner will be selected each day.
  • Each winner will receive one St Bernard's Double Smoked Christmas Half Leg Ham valued at $120.
  • Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.
  • Prizes must be collected in store prior to 24th December 2025, unless other arrangements are approved by The Butcher Shoppe.

5. Winner Selection

  • The winner will be the person whose guesses Santa's total weight for that day.
  • If more than one person submits the same correct guess, the winner will be the person who submitted the earliest correct entry.
  • Winners will only be contacted by email the following morning.
  • The winner will also be announced on Instagram.

6. Santa's Weight

  • Santa’s base weight for the competition is determined by The Butcher Shoppe.
  • Hints or clues about Santa’s base weight may be shared through official channels such as email, website content or social media. These clues are intended to help entrants calculate their guesses.
  • The daily total weight is Santa’s base weight plus the guess weight of the product shown in the Instagram post.
  • The Butcher Shoppe will not disclose the full calculated daily weight. Entrants must use the clues provided and the product shown to determine their guess.

7. Disqualification

  • The Butcher Shoppe reserves the right to remove any entry that is abusive, inappropriate or does not follow the entry rules.
  • Entries from accounts that do not follow The Butcher Shoppe Instagram page will not be eligible.
  • Entrants who do not sign up through the official form on this page will not be eligible.

8. Privacy

Personal information submitted when entering the competition will be handled according to The Butcher Shoppe Privacy Policy.

9. General

  • The Butcher Shoppe reserves the right to amend the terms or cancel the competition if required.
  • The Butcher Shoppe is not responsible for technical issues that prevent entries from being received.
  • This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram.
