Beerenberg Bavarian Mustard 150g

Beerenberg Bavarian Mustard is a mildly spiced seeded mustard made on the maker's farm in the Adelaide Hills. Mustard seed makes up 25% of the jar, with garlic and spices for a gentle warmth, and it's labelled vegan. If you've been after a bavarian mustard that adds flavour without a harsh bite, this one suits.

Spoon it alongside cold meats, cheese and crackers, which is how the maker recommends serving it. It's good with steak too. Sear a 2.5cm cut hard in cast iron, flipping after a couple of minutes, and pull it at 52°C for medium-rare. Rest it on a warm board for 5 minutes, then add a spoonful on the side. Refrigerate after opening.
