Beerenberg worcestershire sauce is savoury with a little sweetness, made from vinegar, molasses, plum, lemon juice, onion and garlic. It's labelled gluten free and vegan, with no anchovy or fish listed, and it's made on the Beerenberg family farm in the Adelaide Hills.

It suits beef steak and lamb, and the maker also pairs it with Oysters Kilpatrick. Take a rib fillet to a cast-iron skillet or a ripping hot barbecue plate. Sear the fat cap first so it renders, then cook 3 to 4 minutes per side and pull at 58°C to 60°C. Rest it 3 to 5 minutes, then add a splash. Shake before use and refrigerate after opening. Ingredients and allergens can change by batch, so check the back of the pack.
