This honey bbq sauce from Big Rick's is the mildest and sweetest in their range, which is why kids and the sweet-toothed tend to reach for it first. It uses pure Australian high-grade honey with Apple Gum sweetness, built on the tomato and smoky-wood base of their Original recipe. It's made with gluten free ingredients.

Honey burns quickly over direct heat, so keep the sauce for the final stretch. For beef short ribs, cook low and slow at 110°C to 125°C. Allow roughly 1.5 to 2 hours per 500g, until a probe slides in like warm butter at 93°C to 96°C. Brush the sauce on in the last 15 minutes, then wrap and rest for an hour before slicing.
