Crème Cheese Truffle Mushrooms

These truffle mushrooms are filled with crème cheese and truffle, ready made and sold individually from our Cannon Hill counter. Everything at The Butcher Shoppe's butcher counter is gluten-free, and this range is no exception, so grab as many as the table needs.

Go gentle with the heat. Warm them through so the crème cheese softens and the truffle comes forward. Save the searing for the steak: get cast iron hot, salt the surface right as the meat goes down, and give a 2.5cm cut 2 to 3 minutes a side. Pull at 52°C, then rest 5 minutes on a warm board for medium-rare. A scotch fillet is the cut we'd serve alongside. You'll find more in our ready made meals range.
