El Chori Chimmi Hot is a tangy, zesty red chimichurri with a punch of heat from fresh chilli and jalapeno. Every jar from El Chori is mixed by hand from Auntie Celina's family recipe, and the maker confirms it's gluten free, dairy free and plant-based. Chimmi was born alongside the choripan, the barbecued chorizo sandwich, so it's right at home on our sausages.

It's just as good over steak. Get cast iron smoking hot, salt your 2.5cm rib fillet just before it hits the pan, and give each side a few minutes. Pull it at 52°C for medium-rare, then rest 5 to 8 minutes before spooning the chimichurri on. It also suits eggs, rice and pasta. There are no preservatives, so refrigerate after opening.
