The Pork Shoulder Roast from The Butcher Shoppe in Cannon Hill is simply outstanding. From the moment I brought it home, the quality of the cut was evident, fresh, well-trimmed, and perfectly portioned for a family meal.
However, the real star of the show was the crackling. It was absolutely to die for! The skin was scored perfectly by the butcher, allowing it to puff up into golden, crispy bubbles that shattered delightfully with every bite, while the meat underneath remained incredibly tender and juicy. It’s rare to find pork shoulder that cooks this evenly, with such flawless texture and flavour.
This roast turned a Sunday lunch into a memorable feast. If you love pork with proper, restaurant-quality crackling, this is the only place to go in Brisbane. Five stars without hesitation!

The pork shoulder was spot on, crispy on the outside, juicy and tender inside, just pulled apart with a fork. The fat had melted right through the meat so every bite was packed with flavour.
