Our ham off the bone is sliced leg ham, made from Australian pork. Take home 100g or a full kilo. Everything at our counter is gluten free, and The Butcher Shoppe is Queensland's first Coeliac Australia accredited butcher. That matters, because smallgoods can hide gluten unless they're labelled.

Cooking & Temperature Guide

It's a sandwich staple, but ham sliced thick from the leg sears well too. Render the fat strip on its edge first to crisp it up. Pan-sear or grill over medium-high heat, 4 to 5 minutes per side, until it reaches 63°C to 65°C, then rest it for 5 minutes. For finer layers, try our shaved leg ham, and add free range middle bacon for the weekend.
